The Art of Origami Kusudama, Exhibition at Tsutaya Books Pavilion Bukit Jalil

I’m so grateful to everyone who visited The Art of Origami Kusudama exhibition at Tsutaya Books Pavilion Bukit Jalil! Held from January 6 to February 2, 2025, it was an incredible experience to share my work with the public and showcase the beauty and complexity of origami kusudama.

A heartfelt thank you to Bukit Jalil Tsutaya Books for the invitation to display my kusudama paper folding art. This exhibition provided such a wonderful opportunity to dive into the world of geometric elegance and cultural fusion through the intricate art of paper folding. It was truly special to introduce visitors to the fascinating connection between mathematics and creativity.

Exhibition Highlights:

The exhibition was inspired by the 13 Archimedean solids, which form the structural foundation for each kusudama piece. These ancient geometric shapes, first explored by Archimedes, served as the perfect canvas for my origami creations. From the truncated dodecahedron to the rhombicuboctahedron, each kusudama was carefully crafted to reflect the symmetry and precision of these timeless geometric forms.

Visitors were able to explore the harmony between geometry and artistry, where each piece told a story of craftsmanship, creativity, and the timeless beauty of origami. Whether visitors were captivated by the complexity of the shapes or intrigued by the cultural heritage of origami, the exhibition provided a chance to marvel at the art form’s endless possibilities.

Thank you again to Tsutaya Books Pavilion Bukit Jalil, and to everyone who came out to support the exhibition. If you missed it, stay tuned for future events and exhibitions where I’ll continue to explore the fascinating world of origami and kusudama!
